Hi Everyone, I must apologise for the time period, it has indeed been a very long time since I last wrote. I have been busy with my book and giving presentations to various lovely groups all around Central Alberta but as Christmas approaches I am taking time out to just spend with my family, no book writing or giving presentations, just a time to be with my family. I shall resume book writing and presentations in the New Year, you know where I am if you would like to book one. I hope that this Christmas time is a pleasant and peaceful one for you all, the wonderful thing about this time of year is that you don't have to be anything special to enjoy it to it's fullest potential, Christmas is for all, regardless of whether you celebrate the day or not, there is something magical about this time of year, it is possibly because it is has the shortest day of the year and the longest night, and that once that has passed, the nights become shorter and the days longer and brighter, giving hope to all; or perhaps it is because we are at the end of the year and the prospect of a New Year brings with it endless possibilities of what may or may not happen, it gives us all hope, or it could be that this time of year we become children in our hearts once more, I know I for one still go outside on Christmas Eve, near midnight, and listen, just in case I hear those bells that let's us know that Father Christmas is on his way - silly - maybe, but I still hope. I have checked my visitors log and once again I must say a HUGE THANK YOU to you all, over SIXTY ONE THOUSAND visitors to my website now - wow! Truly a great way to end the year. So until the New Year, I wish you all well, have a wonderful season of jolly and a safe, happy New Year! Take care Heather |

Hi Everyone, I hope you are all well. I must apologise for the delay in writing my blog, so much happening here that time just flies by. My book is coming along nicely, my ever hopeful 'it will be out in the fall' timeline has slipped to the early part of the New Year, which isn't a bad thing as the research I have been doing just keeps coming up with more and more interesting and new facts, as the song goes 'things that make you go hmmmm'. I must again give you all a BIG THANK YOU! My website has now had over FIFTHY THREE THOUSAND and nudging fifty four thousand visitors - WOW, Gosh, I am humbled, thank you. I have been out giving presentations at various venues to delightful audiences as usual and I have also been giving presentations on the Whitechapel Murders too which have been received with much enthusiasm. As Halloween approaches I am being booked for presentations on prisoners, torture, executions and ghosts at the Tower and the Whitechapel Murders of 1888, I have some dates and times left so if you wish to have one please contact me ASAP so as not to be disappointed. Well until next time (which hopefully won't be so long this time), take care, Heather |

Hi Everyone, I do hope that you are all well and are staying safe wherever you are in the world. A BIG THANK YOU to all of you, I have now had FORTY FOUR THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED and FORTY FOUR visitors! WOW! Once again so much has happened over the last few weeks. I've been giving private presentations mainly in the afternoons which as has been wonderful for me as they all had traditional afternoon tea which means lots of cakes! I shall let you all know a little nearer the time of publishing what it called and I have also been working on a new presentation which I have added to my repertoire and it is proving very popular - it's called Whitechapel Murders - a new look at the victims and suspects. I shall let you know when I am giving open public presentations so perhaps I may see you at one. Until next time Take care Heather |

Hi Everyone< I hope you are all well and enjoying the warmer weather now that it has arrived. I have been busy working on my book, doing a few tweaks here and there and getting it ready for publishing in the Fall; I never realised how much work goes onto writing and I am thinking that if there is a next time I shall write a picture book - less words! Lol. I have also been putting a new presentation together to work along side my book all about the Whitechapel Murders so if you are looking for a something a little different drop me a line or call me and we can make a booking, and I know that we have only just started to go into Summer, but I am taking bookings for Halloween and dates and times are going fast so if you would like one of my presentations whether it is my normal one, or a speciality one on prisoners, torture and executions of my new one on Whitechapel Murders then please contact me sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment. Today I have up-dated my website with a few more names of prisoners in the Tower during the month of June and a few more events for the June On the Day if you have a time pop over and take a look. Fathers Day is on Sunday and I hope you all have a great day whether you are a Father or a Grandfather and that it is a wonderful day for the whole family. Until next time, Take care, Heather |

Hi Everyone, I hope you are all well. This weekend saw me at Ironwood Retirement Home in St Albert giving a presentation to a small group of residents on Sunday afternoon. I had a wonderful time and met with lovely residents who kept me talking for two straight hours! So they must have enjoyed it. One gentleman came up to my afterwards to tell me how much he had enjoyed the presentation and that it he'd never 'Seen anyone able to talk with such enthusiasm, passion and humour for over two hours' and that it was a joy to listen to. Well THANK YOU so much for your kind words. I have also been putting together a new presentation all about the Whitechapel Murders, which dove tails rather nicely with my book that I have been writing and which will hopefully be out a little later in the year. Now before you all say ' Isn't there enough books and stories out there about the murders' and 'We've heard it all before' I can guarantee you that you won't have heard what I have researched on the subject and that it gives an entirely new perspective on the murders - I shall say no more than that, you will have to wait for my book to come out or come to one of the presentations as I don't want to spoil the suspense for you. I think I can say that it will make you think and reconsider what you have been told before. Well it is a lovely day out there so I shall sign off now and take my teddies (dogs) for a walk. Until next time, Take care Heather |

Hi Everyone, I hope you are all well and are enjoying Spring now that it has eventually turned up. Well I must start with an apology as it has been far too long since I last up-dated my website and blog life here has been pretty hectic and time has just flown by. Thank you to all of you who sent me well wishes after my surgery I do appreciate your kind words and thoughts and I am now on the mend with only the occasional 'ouch' every now and then. A BIG THANK YOU to all of you for visiting my web site, I have now had over FORTY THOUSAND visitors - that's amazing, thank you! So what's been happening I hear you ask. Back in February you may remember that I was giving a couple of presentations to Girl Guide groups, well they sent me a large envelope filled with handmade thank-you cards and I've attached a photo of some of the magnificent cards that the girls made and sent to me. As you can see they are works of art and I love them - Thank you girls! March saw me out and about giving presentations all over the place and in April I was at the Edmonton branch of the Alberta Genealogical Society giving a presentation to one of their speciality groups. I took time out after that for my surgery and at the start of this month (May) I was back out on the road giving presentations to various groups including the Women's faculty Club at the University of Alberta, I was honoured to be their speaker at their 80th Anniversary AGM; the ladies also invited me along for their dinner too and the food was wonderful! This month I have also given presentation at a few nursing and care homes, including Capitol Care in Edmonton; what a lovely facility and wonderful staff. The ladies and gentlemen that live there are wonderful too and I am glad that they enjoyed my presentation. I shall be rounding off this month with a few more private presentations and also starting the next month off with a presentation in St Albert. Remember that it is never too early to book a speciality presentation for Halloween, I've taken a few bookings already but I do have some dates and time left so contact me as soon as you can. Also don't forget if you wish me to research a family name to see if you share a name with a prisoner either phone me, email me or fill out the contact form on this website and I shall get back to you as quickly as I can, normally within a week. Until next time, Take care, Heather |

Hi Everyone, I hope you are all well and enjoying what now looks like spring. I have had a busy few weeks with presentations and I have a few more coming up in the next few weeks too. Thank you to all have come out to see them and thank you to all who have asked me to come along and give a presentation at their events; I have had a blast. The most recent group I presented to was the Alberta Genealogical Society Edmonton Branch, England and Wales special interest group, lovely people and such an attentive audience; it was a lot of fun that evening - thank you for inviting me along. I have a few enquiries regarding prisoners from them and I shall be sending out the information that I have found to those who asked in the next day or so as I've had my hands full lately with my hubby falling and breaking his leg in two places last week, so please bear with me if you are one of those who have requested prisoner information, I haven't forgotten you. Well that's about it for now. Until next time, Take care, Heather |

Hi Everyone, I hope you are all well. Well it's officially the first day of Spring and as usual here in the West it's snowing and the temperature has dropped from a lovely mild plus 11 to minus 4, never mind it should start to pick up again in a week or so. I'm busy preparing for up-coming presentations and answering requests for prisoner names, a few of which came from titled gentlemen in the UK who wished to find out more about their family's adventures as 'guests' of the Tower; it's not everyday that you get to add a few Lords, Viscounts. Clan Chiefs and Barons to your contact list. Back in February I gave a couple of presentations to the girls guides in Lacombe St Albert, and I thoroughly enjoyed the evenings and the scones and tea afterwards; earlier this week I was sent an envelope which was filled with thank you cards from the girls and I shall be photographing them and adding them to my site - they are wonderful - thank you girls! I need to say a Big Thank You again to all of you my site has now had over THIRTY THOUSAND visitors, so THANK YOU! I appreciate the support. Until next time, Take care Heather |

Hi Everyone, I hope you are all well. Last Friday saw the week rounded off nicely with a presentation to the St Albert Retired Teachers Association which was held in the Sturgeon Golf Club. It was a breakfast presentation and one that I truly enjoyed and I am assured that those who attended also enjoyed it. It was a packed meeting and an extra table had to be set so I believe the attendance was around the 115 persons mark. What a wonderful group of people and a superb breakfast too. Thank you for my gift I shall be using it soon. This week and next I am presenting to the Girl Guides and Pathfinders of our local area, I always enjoy these presentations as the girls keep me on my toes with their questions. Until next time, Take care Heather |

I have to say another BIG THANK YOU to all of you, I now have had over 25,000 visitors to my website - I am truly humbled by such a wonderful response and to have confirmation that I am producing what you want to see, read and learn about - Thank you! My dates for the coming months are filling up fast and I shall keep you posted as to where and when I am presenting to the general public so that if you would like to come along you can.
